Living in a small English village on the edge of Southampton Water and the New Forest is a perfect place to be inspired to write and illustrate my children's books. My appreciation for the countryside and its history has encouraged me to promote awareness of safety and the environmental issues we face today.
I am glad I never grew up, otherwise, I would have trouble writing and Illustrating my children's books, a good sense of humour with imagination also helps, but the best part is knowing when my books will make a smile that will last a lifetime.

I feel immensely privileged that Steve has allowed me to join him on this journey firstly with the Cornelius Cone adventures and then onward into the new Bennie Barrier series. Alongside my contemporary adult fiction, Cornelius Cone and Bennie Barrier's adventures will continue for many years to come as we aim to enthrall and entertain children for many years to come.

In our ever changing world in 2025, children are becoming more and more lonely than ever. Screens have taken the place of genuine friendships and there are a lot less children going out and playing in the fields compared to years ago.
With the Cornelius Cone & Bennie Barrier adventures, the stories are built around friendships, being naive to things in our everyday world, focusing on concerns such as being excluded from groups of friends, the cones moving from one team to another with similar anxieties to children moving from Primary to Secondary schools, learning basic life skills and most importantly, it is all done in a lighthearted and humorous way.
